Bamford Model OC

BAMFORD MODEL OC ENGINE AND GRISTER – c. 1925

English Flag

Henry Bamford founded his iron monger company in 1871 at Uttoxeter in Staffordshire. 1920 marked the start of their engine manufacturing operation with a horizontal open crank engine that started on petrol and was switched over to kerosene when hot. This version runs a Wico EK magneto.

History: Initially the company made quality farm machinery with such implements as the successful Horse Mower called the “ROYAL”. In 1913 it was awarded the Royal Appointment to the British Monarchy which they have held ever since.
