BRISTOL CRAWLER – c. 1935

The Bristol Crawler first appeared on 4th July 1935. It was a compact crawler manufactured by Bristol Tractors Ltd, Blake Hill Works, at Idle, near Bradford, in Great Britain. The company had a complicated history, at one period controlled by William Jowett, in settlement for allegedly unpaid bills for the manufacture of Jowett motors then powering the Bristol Crawler. 

Technical Specifications: 2-cylinder, 4-stroke horizontally opposed petrol Jowett engine. Bore 3.125” and stroke 4” producing around 8hp.  Gears: 3 forward and 1 reverse. Weight 2060 lbs.
